I must complete my travelogue before i start my 2nd half of the year. Meeting new friends makes me realize even more how important my blog/travelogue is to me.

I have so many places to go in my life. Thanks Helen for introducing this blog to me, now I look forward to cover the loveliest places in the world throughout my life.

Continuation from Part one, this is our city day tour. This is the famous Dubai Creek. Our hotel is strategically just next to it.

The hotel is the tallest building in the photo. Before crossing the creek, we went to the Gold Souk/Gold market conveniently situated just behind the hotel. Which is obviously packed with goldsmiths. There's gold strewn anywhere and everywhere, no one will steal them. Why?

The penalty for stealing is losing both your arms. That's why. Very discipline ppl. For the 3 days we were there, we saw 3 accidents @_@ According to Kenny, who we met up later on at night, Dubai in fact has a very high...wtf what's with their super cars zooming around like scrap metal eh? hahaha..

Stupid i did not take photos of the luxurious cars. Hummers was like Kancil for them, Porshe is like... avanza?? Cos i saw 1 filled with stocks. Under appreciated.

So we took the cheapest way across the creek, Abra boat, together with the locals.

We walked everywhere. Fairly easy to get around. Had lunch at a place that looks VERY similar like our mamak but the waiter is just 10000X ruder. My nan, that's so hard and oily, you'll get a bruise if I had throw it at you.

This is where the Sheikh used to live. His palace i suppose. Very dry and hot. The entrance fees to all the attractions are cheap. 3-5dhm only. But .... depends on yourself la, wanna go see buildings and artifacts or not.

Presumely UAE ppl used to be damn short. The doors are made fit for hobbits. Poor Ah Jin knocked his head against the frame twice hahahaha Btw, he's >180cm.

We refuse to take the taxi that cost 20dhm once u got in, we took the local bus to Jumeirah Strip, where the rich and famous goes to relax and shop. The bus was very comfortable, because they have seats for women only. Guys get screamed at if they take the seats hahahahahah. At 1-2dhm, very comfortable to travel in. TGIF ala arabian...

Lime Tree Cafe, supposedly had one of the best Chocolate Cake in Dubai. How can *I* give that a miss? Especially after walking under the sun for some time.

Frequent by many expatriates, as i hear conversations in French, Japanese, Koreans, kili kulu kili kulu...

I like the place alot!! 18dhm for a slice of heaven. Convert in POUND then its cheap. ahahha self-denial.

You had to pay a blardy USD120 to enter.... and have hi-tea. We went to a public beach, and had to ran like mad ppl as we canot enter the *private* beach. wtf. We were running because the sun is setting!!!

At night, met up with Kenny and this is the world largest Mall complete with their own Snow dome. Go google for photos la. hahahha

Then we went to this place Souk Madinah Jumerah, wonderful atmosphere for dinner. Alot of "chio" ppl lo...cos ferry constan was playing that night at dubai.

My week in photo again.

Akibat engrish not good and time constraint. Dahlah, not my engrish was good at any point of time also ahhaha.

My employer must be paying some "colleague" very well to be able to afford such nice ride. Hmm...why all that i can afford is a Kenari that's still belong to be bank T__T

The ratty-tatty flats that i love so much. It had been to as many places as i have been. Bought it for a cheap 8 or 6pd from Primark, Blackpool and it had since step on spain, portugal, most of GB, venice and dubai's soil. cool travel companion huh...

Lunch buddies(tiga sekawan) that will soon become travel buddies too :D

It had been years in words that we wanted to go somewhere together but now, NOW, finally, we are putting our words into actions. Scandalious during lunchtime today ~ 2nd round for them.

*Don't be cheated by their cute and innocent looks! They have been plotting to rob my belongings off me hours before lunchtime. Why am i blessed with such loving and attentive friends? they know what i have or don't have -__- )

Last weekend was spend in KL catching up with friends from random channel. First up, CLong. The usual "what do you wanna eat?" came up and took us for a ride from mutiara damansar to "damansara phileo area, the place around HELP college" to Jln Raja Chulan! The RM2.70/L petrol wasting ride brought us to Palate Palatte. The much spoken place for junkyard sale among fashionistas.

The enviroment, no doubt, was fab. The food did not live up to my expectation at all. The passionfruit juice was bland. The fish and chips, er..just rename it as fish fingers and chips la... I know the photo is blur and dark but i like

Other than that, the place is still worth a visit. Quirky designs.

I think all the chairs there are different. The one an auntie was sitting on actually has a pair of white wings. Woo.. i like tat one.

The met up of the randoms at the apartment(kl hangout places are so domesticated ie laundry). Blogger vs lawyer.

I bought lamb shank for Christal's birthday present. In exchange for my kindness, i got the last necklace available in Topshop that i love, at my own expensese of course.

Last day in KL was not spend in vain. DivaLisa, Raymond, Audrey and me went into a battle mode with our stomach. We went JOGOYA! muahahaha. Goal was simple: Stuff ourselves silly :)

Other than eating, I'm also filling up my time by reading the blog of the current man of my life.

I've been listening to his sweet voice day in and out, i know all his songs by heart <3>

I never knew such person still exist in the world now.

Made of Honor (& Scotland)

Yesterday was our department team building, so we were treated to a movie, a treasure hunt (which i'll elaborate in the next post) and a dinner. and YAY! We won 3rd placing for the hunt! Go Gold!!

The movie we choose was well, obviously Made of Honor.

Oh! The movie genre was my favourite. Romantic comedy, a chick flick which i absolutely adore :D

Now, the movie will bring us over to Scotland because Colin is a scottish duke who plays the bagpipe -__-

Anyway, while watching it.. I saw so many places that I've been which flushes me away with memories from last summer. If you had watched the movie, you might regconize some of the scenes from my photo.

#1 On the way to Isle of Skye..We drove there, Sheffield/Liverpool > Edinburgh > Isle of skye ...in total we drove at least 7hours that day alone. Unlike the movie, we drove all the way there because we were too late to catch the boat. The bridge!! Oh dear...

#2 Can you spot the bridge? Now so small and insignificant in the fuller viewer. Yes, this is how the highland looks like.

The pink haggis mentioned in the movie...We tried it too!! It's actually quite yummy. Not as disgusting and scary as it is IF you have it nicely...The one we had at the kebab store was kinda horrible though..

#3 The magnificent GlenCoe. This is definitely one of the most scenic place to travel by car. ACS, before u balik penang, please go.

Ahh.. I couldn't seem to find the castle photo at all!! This will do.. Behind this castle lies Loch Ness Monster...

#4 The lighthouse that Tom had to pass when he was riding the horse around the coast to the small church. Hahaha It's a totally different location.

Back to the movie. I believe many a times the same situation happens, either you are Tom or Hannah. Just look at how many movies has been made with the same storyline, 27 Dresses or My Best Friend Wedding(my fav!)

Tom might want to be with you NOW, just because he is afraid of losing you but he might be back to his old self once he got you. Colin is the PERFECT guy but with minor flaws and you don't really know him that well...

Will you choose Tom or Colin then?

Based on such romantic and senseless kinda person that I am, i would definitely choose Tom!! Brownie point for him just coz he is Dr. McDreamy... :)

#1 - On the way to get my car, and then i realize, Wow...Penang skies are really nice too :) To justify that comment, i have always love to look at the skies when i was in Sheffield because it's not glaring and not hot. Clouds often form very pleasing shapes to look and be dreamy :)

#2 - A photo i took on the way back to uni from The Moor last year. I was admiring the skies too -__-

#3 - Water wastage, pipe burst and water flowing everywhere. Haiz, global warming. everything can blame on that hahaha

#4 - Cupcake breakfast that Florence gave me. Very sweet though...HAhaha Thanks flo...

#5 - A small coffee shop that used to be just a burger stall. Now it's a full fledged operating coffee shop. Why is no one is stopping them wan le? Shouldn't this be illegal? Somemore it's at a junction.

That's how much it cost me.

Blardy hell.

I can clock up to about 350km per week on average with ease.

That's just so blardy expensive.

By the way, I queued and got my subsidy today during lunch with LadyCow. In less than 24 hours, the RM625 was equally distributed. 70% went to car installment and the $50 to feed the car, and the rest? Concert ticket -_____-

In a long run, i dont see the subsidy will help us in any way at all.

"Change your lifestyle!!" - Urge from the orang atasan.

Sure, we will try to change our lifestyle as best as we could, not because we want to, is cos we have no other choice. but you will also have to help us because you are suppose to be. We pay for your expensive mansions, yacht and wheels remember?

The lump sum of money you receive monthly is not charity, its salary.

You will need to help us by improving the rubbish public transportation that we have so that we can secure our job by turning up for work. Why not improve the safety too because we will need to walk around more and leave the safety of our car as we could no longer afford to use them ?

But i forget that everything has become more expensive, and thus pushing the desperate to do what desperate people will do in order to survive this cruel world -> Crime.

You will need to help maintain the food price. Especially the staple food of Asians, Rice. The price for it had skyrocketed like nobody's business and now I think we will all eventually have to grow our own and eat potatoes to survive.

Changing lifestyle will mean going out less, staying home more. Economy will slump as buying power slow down, inflation increase, everyone will be stingy like hell. Who will benefit at this?

Remember when you stay home, you will have to keep yourself entertained..via TV, astro, internet, computers, aircon and fans = electricity = tnb = price will increase in lieu.

This had been mentioned time over time and I'm getting so sick of it already but yet!! If you want to compare our lifestyle, please compare it dollar to dollar. Come on la, our living standard is freaking low yet living expense is sky high! Why not compare that instead of oil prices with non oil producing countries?

I believe in UK, with a steady income of 2.2k, you could live comfortably in a studio flat, drive a car(CHEAP) and eat out once in awhile, take a walk in a park, enjoy life, be young!

Over here, we are struggling to breathe. Walk in a park, hahahaha, kena rompak got la. Pay petrol to get there, pay illegal parking attendants that does nothing but stare threateningly at you. Actually we wont have the time to go also, as we will be working past working hrs.

Worse is when people tell me, hey, be grateful when u get a job that pays you 1.8. I say, you people are the ones that spoil the whole employing market. Accept so much lesser than what you know you are worth. And this is the kind of attitude we get throughout asia.

JUST TAKE IT SILENTLY. WHATEVER THAT IS THROWN AT YOU. JUST BLARDY TAKE IT.

i say, no more friend. Enough. change la...Malaysians are no longer so naive and eat watever words you have on the media.

I found out that once one changes their status be it on Facebook or Friendster (still got meh?) or put some misleading captions on their MSN...

Alot of friends that were once speaking friends but now turn into just another contact, will send you a msg out of the blue(actually no, they want to acknowledge their existence)..can be as simply hinting one as

"WUuuuuooooooo" *eyebrows moving up and down*

or

"Wau! I noticed you are attached finally? Who issit? From where wan? Working or studying...etc etc etc" Well, you get the drift -_-

Especially when the status changes on facebook.... You'll wonder, WHEN was it exactly did I last spoke with this person. Seems like, a someone in your life could grab their attention towards you faster than screaming at the top of your lungs, waving a flaming branch at them. -___-

This can be a good news...provided you are one attention deficiency whore... or it can be as simply as unwanted attention for low profile ppl yet an action sometimes need to be taken in order to give some affirmation.

Actually all the above is just a pile of bullshit, the message of the whole post is that:-

Facebook is actually a very good public announcement service. HAHAHAHA Save you the embarrassment sometimes.

Last year, today, I stepped my foot on English soil.

Today, another batch of student left for the time of their life. Except for 1 which i remembered from last year, she was so unhappy she wanted to go back to Malaysia just 1 month after we were there. Screw loose somewhere wan.. Joosing would remember this well..ehehhe

To make things short and sweet, I miss it so so much. I miss it ever since I'm back here in Penang.

Jason Mraz, one of the most underrated artist of my time.

I've loved him all along, since his album Waiting For my rocket to come. Since 2003. That's 5 years!!!

I never knew *I* could be so loyal urhmm..

His voice is hauntingly smooth and dreamy with the acoustic sound from guitars(fav sound!) accompanying most of his songs. His love for fedoras, quirky fashion and cute, adorable face. Ahhh...What is there not to love about such guy, especially the way his mouth will go one sided...

I love love love this song even more after watching the mtv. I wanna travel, hitch a ride in some exotic places (and hope the locals are friendly ppl) and jump from a waterfall !! It's the life i've always wanted. I always knew i am a closeted hippie afterall.

It's the perfect song for me to calm myself and clear my mind.

It's the only song on my playlist for the entire afternoon already. Only his voice alone is good enough for me. Of course, I wouldn't mind if one day my name is Eve Mraz :)

The weird advert i noticed on the star

hi, did anyone noticed that it's already half way past June? Which means...6 months had already flew past with nothing much been done.

Anyway, today while reading the news online as usual, i noticed something very perocative on the side bar.

It's actually an advert from MAS showing 2 dolphins in what i think a, gif image.
Quickly i print screen it and since I'm in the office now, i only have paint tool which i have no freaking idea on how to use it..hahaha

To make things clearer...the advertisement that *I* saw is actually the 2 dolphin moving back and forth in a very suggestive position..hmmm

HAHAHA.. maybe they should throughly think through an advert before publishing it on the internet for the view of many many many ppl.

Gloominess for the petrol aside, i am EXHILARATED to know that Sex and the City: The Movie will be showing on our shores! Although almost 2 months later than the rest of the world, but STILLLLLLLLLLLL~~ Weeeee!!!

31st July is the day mate's!

My long awaited precious box has finally arrived at my doorstep here in Malaysia!

My personal belongings from UK... I'm overjoyed!! After waited for 3 months, I am now reunited with my bags and shoes.

I've also throw in a "surprise" for myself before the sealing the box 3 months ago. I bought my favourite junk food and ship it home, knowing that I will surely miss uk. At least i get to have a taste of my fav junk food from there... Walkers and Butterkist Toffee popcorns!!

Ooo..!! I finished 1 packet of walker within a few minutes...wahhaha

With the arrival of the box, it amplify my feeling of yearning to go back even more.

It doesn't help at all when two of my friends inform me of their departure back to the united kingdom.

It doesn't help that the date I went to UK is looming so so near once again. Making me read my achives.

It doesn't help when me and Keneft were reminiscing our memories back then during dinner last week. Our magic fountain joke and Por favor joke that got us cracking up till we were having cramps in our stomach.

Laughing out loud, but actually makes me even sadder within.

The window for my ticket back to UK will be closed by this September and then I'll need to apply for working holiday instead of igs like everybody else if and only if i have the courage and opportunity to chase my dream. If i can turn back time, I wished I would have chosen to stay on. It would have save me from alot of wrinkles and sleepless night.

I've always have big dreams. Dreams I though i am capable of fulfilling.
Things i said like, I dont really want to spend my days in Penang when i am young. Why? There's too much more for me to learn out there. No doubt I love Penang and I will definitely come back to it. I want to work in KL or Singapore, if possible..further...out of Asia. I refuse to comply to the Asian norm. I want to be able to go on a gap year.

But look at where am I now?

Memories I had back then will only be translate into photos that is kept in photo albums which will be placed at a book shelves that will collect dust over time. Photo albums that will only be taken out and pages be flip once in many moons to be smile upon.

The electrification and double rail tracking of the entire KTM intercity lines need to be done now, and NOW.

Expect to see post regarding the very recent petrol and tnb price hike growing like mushroom after a rain.

Luckily for me, my friend was with me last night and advice me to go full tank first, since there will be an increase anyway.

Luckily for me, I did so as I would have skip the mad rush for petrol today after the announcement.

Luckily for me, I manage to leave work and avoid the crazy, crazy jam that followed suit. My brother was stuck in the jam for 2 hours. From McD greenlane to Caltex Greenlane. 2.freaking.hours.

But, I can avoid once, I can't avoid from filling up my tank forever.

It seems like dooms day had arrived today. With the announcement of more than 40% increase from the current price RM1.90 per liter to RM2.70 per liter, comes a flash flood hitting KL and causing traffic jam all over malaysia.

Wtf.

Thank you la, our dear gahman. I just bought new car, this is the best present you can give me. Seriously, thank you la.

Abit too much right? Even last time in UK, the gas is lik 1-2 pounds, but their cars are very cheap. Just like many other countries that doesn't burden their citizen with double expenses. But over here, petrol expensive, car lagi expensive.

WORST part is the messed up public transportation. Without car, we will not be able to go work or get around easily, or punctually. How can we depend on the gahmen?

I know i should have blogged bout it long time, like 2 weeks ago...but i was ~~lazy~~ busy.

So now i have a commitment in my life. Can't live like how i used to. Canot afford not to work as need to pay installment and such.

My first car!!! I've always like Kenari for it's height and surprise how spacious it is. It has been a decision between a kelisa, myvi or kenari....Now after driving around it for 2 weeks, i love it even more because it's so small, i can squeeze my way in traffic...WAHAHAHHAAH

Although it looks a bit like 29 car, but still i like it alot...cos it's shiny shiny. Hitam itu mutu tinggi :)

Today during lunch with LadyCow and Butt, we were comparing our company id tag and working life.

Listening to our conversation, our life are now filled with team building, meetings, issues, company benefits and responsibilities.

My friends, we have moved into the next phase in our life....

Gawd~ Now I really appreciate the time i spend at home, doing nothing, watching the idiot box and just surfing the net...most importantly, sleep past noon or during hot afternoon.

Since it has been a while i posted food recommendation around Penang, here goes 2.

Frankie Western Food. A fusion style western food that operates at the very busy pulau tikus junction. Quite expensive if u consider the environment of the whole place (coffee shop) yet, the quality and amount of food you will be able to savor makes everything seems perfect.

a glutton like me, wont mind eating at a lorong if the food is heavenly... I did that once, in Melaka...damn nice the cockle shells.

My cheesy chicken. A piece of chicken top with ham, tomatoes and cheese. Lots and lots of cheese. Not bad la..

Hong's Baked Salmon with orange lemon butter sauce? ahhaha forgot ady. Hmm...very nice la i think...

Desmond's Baked Ham Steak or something, A very thick piece of ham that looks like a piece of bread hahaha

The thing is, most of the food is baked instead of being deep fried, HOWEVER, the cheese on top of the food equalize the fatness of it as well... -___-

I actually love the garlic bread the most. It's really crispy at the side and soft at the middle. And smells so so nice!!!!!!

Second recommendation, Mee Goreng/Rebus at Siam Road. It's at a location that is goes unnoticeable yet we penangite uses it so many times. It's at pulau tikus also, next to the police station.

I find it really nice. and i must state that i normally don't like mee rebus because i can't take spicy food. For less than RM4, u get a big plate of very nice mee goreng with alot of sotongs and other ingredients.

Yesterday afternoon, me and DivaLisa took Jazz to the vet and groomer. Here's JAZZ taking a ride in my sister new ride, looking cute and adorable as always. :) :) :)

I want to be able to achieve something in my career and not just sit around doing nothing and appearing to be a useless person in the office. I’ve been slowly sipping my cup of coffee and rereading my emails for the past 2 hours because I have no task on hand at all. Might be something that many wants but I want to be buried under a lot of work sometimes, so I can feel the sense of satisfaction when I’ve finally complete it (abit mental). Then I can also reward myself fully by going out or buying something that I’ve really wanted.

I want to be able to blog about anything just like how it used to be. A blog now read by many strangers doesn’t give me the freedom to do so anymore.

I want to be able to break free from the Asian mold and go back to the country life i once live and long to belong. I realized i was a much happier person then. The only work stress i have is the boss will force me to eat 1 more bowl of rice. The effort I need to put into my work is 10X less than what is needed from me now, yet earning at least 3X more of what i am earning now.

I want to be able to go back to Europe someday for at least 3 weeks, just backpacking. THEN I can really die in peace. So many places waiting to be explore yet my bank balance, responsibilities and commitments over here does not allow so. It will get worse as years go by, i believe.

This is what I want now, but i think it will change, maybe tonight or next year. For now, I just want to live my life.

I want to be successful in my life in my own way.

Like I always say to myself or others " Live each day as though it's your last"

Dubai Day One

A long overdue post from January -__-|||

Nevermind, better late than never. I must blog about my travel! I must! I must! I must! I must!

So many moons ago, to be exact, 29th of January, I left beloved UK to Dubai. We (me and Jin) got there at around 6AM and reached the hotel before 7am. We specifically requested to check-in early and yet, we were informed that no rooms are ready at the moment.

So the very jetlag and tired us, just waited at the lobby until 12PM!! After complaining countless of time (me) and passing out on the couch (Jin), we finally got into our free upgraded room. Actually upgrade or not, the room rates at Dubai is still insanely expensive. Normal room already cost RM400. The upgraded room rate is RM1000 per night. FOR THIS KINDA ROOM! damn lousy... The only exclusive thing is that it comes with a living area and an extra bed.

We booked ourselves a "Desert Safari" tour which can be considered as cheap as it cost less than RM150 each for 6hrs inclusive of dinner, and throw in some lousy freebies that i will rant on below. The driver said they gonna pick us up at 2pm so we choose to sleep over food...hahaha

We headed out towards the desert with 2 austrians, Christina and Sabrina who is on the way back home from Australia and 2 germans aunties. On the way, we saw the infamous airconditioned bus stop of Dubaiii....

Reach a meeting stop, which also translates into tourist trap. They encourage u to have stupid camel ride, or go ride the sand motor (whatever it's called) that is way overcharge.

I just take a photo with it and that's free :) :) Cheapskates hahahhahaha

Then comes the BEST PART of the whole trip. Dune bashing ;D

I underestimate the excitement the drive would give us. It's a rollercoaster ride with the skillful drivers taking huge dives down and tyres skidding dangerously just at the slope of the desert dunes. Unfortunately for us, the auntie in the car kept screaming "NEIN! NEIN!" which is NO!NO! =__= So our car was quite safe la...haiz...

One of the attractions was watching the sunset...It's like we were chasing the sun across the desert. Great memories, once is enough for me. My current facebook profile photo..SunGoddess :)

The sun sets real fast and before we knew it, we were heading towards the "traditional desert bbq dinner". In short, it's like eating satay only. Nothing to shout about, that's why i hate tours. Oh, before we enter the camp like place for dinner, we can have our free camel ride...

Which is absofuckinlutely the lamest thing I've ever seen. You queue for ages and and when it's your turn, your go in 1 lame round which is like less than 5 minutes, about 4 parking bays put together space. You are back on ur feet even before you finish saying WTF, wtf =__= That's is why i hate tours.

And a pair of arabian brothers had no manners instilled in their brains at all!! No doubt they are very good looking but they don't have the right to push people around even in their huge Polo shirt, with the horse so damn big on their blardy chest it's blinding the people around them. Damn kiasu okie! I can recognize those 2 anywhere and i hate them. Pushing everyone around as if it's their birth right to be prioritize. NO! damn it, You have to queue up like every other hungry and bothered tourist~

Anyway, during the dinner, some performances was on as well. Namely the belly dancing and some turkish guy in huge colourful skirt that spins non-stop.. The belly dancing, well, you can watch MTV or youtube any r&b or ghetto videos, you definately can find some better. Especially shakira. hahaha Here's a video for the sake of it.

The shisha booth which is free :) and where i spent most of my evening waiting for time to past, and away from throngs of tourist.

On the other hand, I survived and past the 2-days-work-mark. Yay!! Nothing to complain bout my job currently, I actually kinda liked it too, for now, as I still hadn't really got really involve YET!

Furthermore, today's my 5th day and i'm already on MC =_____= I know, stupid right. But i woke up with very very red and stinging eyes so i stayed home. I strained my eyeballs according to Dr. hmmmm...

Yet, many questioned me on Msn that i strained my eyes from staring at computer for too long ..so what am i STILL doing online??

Officially tomorrow I will re-enter the rat race. This time I swear I will not resign after 2 days anymore -__ - I swear i swear i swear...

Without really noticing, I've spend 2 months jollying around, going for interview after interviews, doing odd jobs in between, quiting jobs, having an unbelievable amount of bad lucks, rejecting offers, and kept going for more interviews.

Finally, I've found a job that I think I will like in a company that I feel like home, well literally since I've been working for that company, X for so many times, i lost count. The only think I am not happy is the salary. Well, as many had advice, just take it, then look for more, or ask for increment after the probation period, which is exactly what i had in mind.

With that, I'm again flung into the rat race scrambling hard to get the big piece of cheese at the top of the ladder.

Good bye to life of sleeping late till the sun shines my bum, late brunches and late session at mamak or sega for a pint or two. I've sold my soul to the FIZ slavery zone. I shall miss my weekedays afternoon pedicure session or lok lok at padang. The jam free roads...and all the afternoon tai tai -dom activities. T__T Bye to dreamy dreamy, hello corporate

On another note, the police actually found the stolen waja. Apparently it's part of a syndicate that has this master key that can unlock wajas. They actually stoled 13 wajas!!! and intended to smuggle it to our neighbouring countries. Wau! We are so lucky to actually get it back in 1 piece, I'm still able to drive it around just now. phewwwww...!

Anyway, since i'll be working already, this blog will again be a place for me to channel all the frustration. Rants and rants ahead...full steam ahead!!

I was asked to blog...and i shall

But what should i blog about? The hot political issues that is going on right now in Malaysia. Well, i don't think so because there's too many out there that blogs about it much better than me such as the doctor to be ACS. Side note on that, i really do respect RPK decision on denying the bail in the first place, well of course we can guess WHY does he choose to do so. He is one of the kind. The kind that will change a country.

Maybe i should blog about all the backlogs travel post I've been meaning to blog about. I must blog about, it's part of my life which i misses so much. In about a month time, it will be again the day i left to UK and now here i am, sitting in my room, in this everlasting summer continent.

Or I shall blog about the life of an unemployed. STILL an unemployed. There's nothing much happening really, that's why the lack of post. Whoever says that bloggers do not have a life, is an ignorant person. Without a well rounded social life, what have you left with to blog about? Well, that's for me and i believe a huge percentage of the bloggers nowadays.

I intended to have a short post but i guess i am a very long winded kinda person, there seems to be endless things for me to rant on and on. Maybe i should change the way i wear my hair, a new colour to it perhaps? or should i change the colour of my nails, another session of pedicure, coming right up~

One thing i must highlight here is the horror that's happened in such an lovely and quiet country of Austria. Imagine! It's the place where Sound of Music is based on. That's like one of my movies of all time. Yet, such monstrous act still happen up to now. Our time of civilization and european people are suppose to be ahead of us in this aspect.

If you are still living under the rock, let me enlighten you. Last week, a family was found hidden in a dungeon underground for 24years, held captive by their father/grandfather. Yes, this Josef Fritzl held his daughter captive for 24years in a dungeon and made her his sex slave. Worse case scenario, she gave birth to 7 children fathered by her own fathered and 1 died shortly after birth.
This kind of asshole should just be sentenced to slow torturous death without trial. What is there to debate or fight for anymore?? The children has never seen daylight before in their entire life and communicates with growl and weird noises because they are reluctant to speak. The youngest children, at 5 years prefer to crawl around instead of walking and when they first saw the moon, they squeal with excitement.

HOW CAN THIS STILL BE HAPPENING!!!! THAT MONSTER IS SICK BEYOND WORDS!!

He is just a raper, a murderer, a killer, whatever, worse than an animal because animals are loveable. What more when he tell his wife their daughter ran away to join a cult and left few children on their doorsteps. I shall say the wife is quite stupid also..If you are interested on reading, i believe you can use a website called google to look into it more.

Penang World Music Festival 2008

Out of the 3 days the festival was held, i only managed to attend the last day which is on Sunday. Tickets of RM50 was abit expensive to me however after attending the festival for less than an hour, I already regret the decision of not going for Friday and Saturday and made decision to attend the one held next year.

It was awesome!

At first i thought it would rain since it did earlier on Sunday, but i was persistent on going, rain or shine. Fearing the worse from the weather and the crowd, we went early equip with umbrella and newspapers(to sit on). I was very impressed by how organized the whole event was. They have vans shuttling people from youth park to botanical garden, to prevent jam at the 2 lane road. Kudos on that!
The stage was impressive as well as the sound systems and lighting.

The first performer of the night, Techung from Tibet but born in India, raised in America. It's a very mountain-ny kind of genre. It's something really different. Just look at the natural backdrop that sheer curtains and lightning can create.

The next one, which is also my favorite act of the night. Balfa Tuojours from USA but sings in french. They have a fiddler and accordion as well. Very country kinda music and super lively. I Likey! They had the crowd all hype up and dancing. I was clapping along their whole performance : ))

Next up is LO COR DE LA PLANA from France. The group that sang about LOVE, which they pronounced as LOAF. They are good. Acapella groups and percussionists. The last song they performed was actually a Christmas song. Yea, they wished Merry Christmas to us in May -__- however, it sound more like a war song to us. HAAHAAHAHA

The quirky and the weirdest of all, AFENGINN from Denmark. They had a member that's dressed in pink with long dreadlocks. What would you think?
Anyway, the music they played was very interesting as they infused the "circus tune" into their fast tempo songs, with the dreadlock guy playing a banjo. Most of their songs are fast beat and dreadlock man was head banging throughout the whole performances.

They also made us do an action which is shouting "Ooompah!!!!" while pumping ur fist into the air. Which reminds me of ommpa lompa marching =___=

Final performance of the night was Kenge Kenge from Kenya. Oh my, they can all shake their booty real fine..ahahah... better than beyonce in her "uh oh uh oh" video. Watch the video below.

The finale where most of the performers from all 3 days came out for the final ovation from the crowd.
In a nut shell, the venue was brilliant, cooling with all the trees around us, the performers was awesome, the crowd was great, people smiling and enjoying moments of it, no matter young or old. With a great company, you will never go wrong in such rare event.

The things i did recently made me realize that no one is out of anyone's league. Certain people I've met recently is the people that I thought i would know in my dreams.

Most would say my dream came true finally, but do you really know what is my dream? There is no happy ending to MY story until I agree it is one.

However, perception of people will always be the reality in life.

Should I work like what others wished, just settle for whatever that is thrown my way ... or should i really follow my dreams even knowing the chances of succeeding is near to zero?

I had a very long weekend last week. and i wanted to blog about it.

Saturday morning! Woke up at 8am. read 8AM! for breakfast with friends that i met from UK. Some came up from KL so must go meet them. Since last year august, i last saw some of them. Miss the adventurous time I had back then.

2 more months to go and it would have been a year since I'm there. TIME effin flies. T__T

Assorted dimsums. The kind of dimsum breakfast you can enjoy if you have alot of people at the table. Unfortunately for me, most of my friends are nocturnal homosapiens. So i am really delighted that day :)

Then we proceed to Butterfly farm. Convoy like tat...3 cars trailing each other. I actually hate butterfly. Too much of it flying around me cause goosebumps. And when I was little, my mom told me that the powder on the wings can make me blind. Planting phobias in me when im little already. =___=

Its been a long long time since i blog about happy stuff. So i shall make a short post on FOOD! Afterall, i am a glutton :)

Before that, I would just like to record in my blog that on Tuesday alone, i fell down the stairs, more like sliding down after tripping myself. I then proceed to quit from my job because i am on the verge of breaking down on Tuesday. Now i know why people can get suicidal.

Okie, back to foodies~ Me love lots..

The famous dish, wong sau juien (in mandarin). Very spicy to me (reads: mild to normal human) and sour-ish soupy noodle with fish fillets.

The very very very nice honey coated fried chicken. Very highly recommended. Obviously, it's super crispy and had just the right taste of sweetness :) :)

Another obligatory dish from the shop which is hor fun with fish fillet. Something that i can eat also. Haha... I would say, it's like steam fish with hor fun as side dish :) Nice nice. i like also

Another dish is the Special Taufo, well taufu looks like taufu, so i did not bother taking photos as i was hungry myself then. It's not bad. But, the portion for all the above is kinda huge and filling, so you'll be stuff if you can finish even 2 dishes.

Kemalangan bertubi tubi.

Pada hari Jumaat pagi, router saya telah membuat keputusan untuk meninggal saya and keluarga saya. Dengan hati yang cemas, saya telepon Streamyx untuk menghidupkan nia semula tetapi ia enggan and putus asa.

Kegilaan melanda saya kerana saya tidak boleh hidup tanpa melayanari web walaupun untuk sehari.

Tidak apa...Hari sabtu, setelah gagal jarum cucuk (Pin Point) kereta yang saya suka, justeru beranjur ke jamuan perpisahan untuk sahabat gua mabel. Pada hari malam, eve yang amat malang dan cuai muncul sekali.

Kali ini, bukan sahaja saya hantuk kedua-dua siku aku, tetapi juga kepala saya and juga tangan (arm, not hand)saya.

Sekarang...saya bagai "onion head" ini >>>>

Saya akan mempamerkan kecederaan saya bila saya ada masa untuk mengambil gambar sebagai memori hari tersebut.

Hari ini juga hari pertama saya berjuang dengan semua orang dalam dunia pekerjaan(working world) Akhirnya, sekurang-kurangnya saya tidak menganggur lagi.

Yea.

Bad luck week continues like tralalalala....

This morning, dad burst into my room screaming " THE CAR IS GONE! STOLEN!!"

Yeah...my sis's silver waja was stolen just like tat , early this morning right under our nose. Haiz...I feel kinda guilty because she left the car to my car and i lost it. Why so bad luck??!?!? It's a mystery as why they wan the waja because there's like Camry and Murano and Merc just next to it.

Anyway, if anyone see the Silver Waja PES 4966 please do let me know, however i highly doubt so. By now, it probably be cut up and be sold as scrap metal...

On top of the bad luck-ness, i realized i actually sprained my ankle (must be from runnin around in kl) Went to the masseuse and he told me actually my ankle is already swollen. -__-

Why so bad luck?!?!??!

Maybe i should be vegetarian for like a week...which is like damn big deal for me as i am pure carnivore >.>

Unluckiest day in my life

Today is the unluckiest day in my life. EVER!

This morning, went KL for an interview with a company i really want to work with. The journey was suppose to take only 4 hours but the stupid bus driver decided to stop at Slim River for lunch, which make me behind schedule by an hour.

When i reach KL, i had to rush over to TAR college to get my certificate (OH GOD! like finally right!). Upon reaching the counter, I was ignored for a good 5 minutes although there's people sitting at their desk and i was like "Hello, Hello, excuse me" wtf wtf wtf

If i weren't rushing around, i would have screwed them upside down for such unfriendliness, plus they are like having open day today, i wanted to created chaos and tell the parents, don't register ur kids with stupid tar already.

I then tried to hail a taxi to Jln Sultan Ismail, but all refuse to take me T___T Finally one fella suggest i stop at Dang Wangi because it's "near" to the place i wanted to go. Just 5 minutes walk.

I believed him. He dropped me at LRT station where the counter people are too lazy to work, so had to buy ticket from machine which don't accept coins and i ended up borrowing 10cent from the kind guy queuing behind me.

So from Dang Wangi, i started walking towards Concorde Hotel like a blind mouse, so far! wtf, no sign of central plaza. Then i asked some pedestrian, which told me it's quite far. So i took a cab, that cost me RM7 for less than 5 minutes of ride.

By that time, i was already late for interview, confused, tired and stress out. Most stressful part was the interviewer was actually the director himself, Ang Moh from USA. 3 against 1. Performed way below my own expectation and standard. SO DISAPPOINTED WITH MYSELF, i wanna go jump from a building. It always happen with me when it comes to interview with job i want badly. I get tongue tied and brain dead. Like some useless retarded that ventured into the interview aimlessly.

After the disastrous interview, i just wanna go home. It was rush hour, again no taxi would take me to the old ktm station. Finally found one that charge me RM15 and assured he know where it is.

HE LIED! RAWWWWWRRRRR

He don't even know where it is and i had to ask him to stop so i can ran across the road. When i was running, BOTH side of my shoe got spoilt in the middle of kl road. I had to ran barefooted on the street of KL towards the NICE office lugging along my backpack. And the bus left 5 minutes ago because of the blardy stupid idiotic taxi driver

Luckily or not, i brought along another pair of shoe. So while putting on the other pair of shoe, i asked to change the ticket, which i already bought earlier on. No bus until 10PM. RM60 got burned again...

Fine, i went pudu by taxi again and finally got on the 630pm bus at RM30

Did anyone notice that i did not mention food or drinks? Thats because i did not drink or eat anything from 730AM till 1130PM... i am surprised by my ability of forgetting hunger. Totally superb. o_0

Thanks to Hongz and Christal for listening to me ranting on the phone. I really nearly cried because of the really really bad day i had today. So damn stress out and emo i think all my hair turned white.

I hope by telling you about my bad day, it makes you feel much better about your life. Thinking that, maybe your day wasn't that bad after all -____-

Okie! 3rd rant on the college already.

Don't they know what is customer service? We, as paying student are also considered as customers okie! Hmm!!! wtf.

If you remember the latest incident i have with tar... Well... apparently the 4th attempt to get my certificate was rejected as well.

The reason being is that the letter that was hand written this time does not have a specific address on top. Okie, it might had been a long time since i've written any very formal letter but does the address really matter that much?

5th attempt: DENIED!! They want TL to show them the envelope as proof that i really send him the letter. I don't know the people are so damn strict loh~~~ I wan to die from this issue already. My friend gave up already. WTF!

I was really fuming over this matter and it just spoilt my lovely lovely girlish afternoon which i shall blog about some other day.

Watching the Nessie story

Last night, I went for Water Horse the movie. It's was not bad, part of it was just alil draggish for me. Anyway, when i was a little girl, i was very obsessed with the Loch Ness monster and vowed that i shall go there one day!

And then i did really went! Woohoo~~ The Loch was magnificent. If i am given the opportunity again to go for another Scotland road trip, it would have been a definite YES. Although it was really tiring, driving most of the time and eating breakfast off the trunk of the car and even sleeping in the car...very very cold experience...

Watching the movie makes me miss stint in UK.. What more with the Scottish accent and location being filmed in places that looks so familiar. Makes me a somber person now.

Moving on. My latest obsessions is with fake eyelashes. HAHAHA Makes me eye look so much bigger.

Last Saturday i went to my cousin's birthday at Sri Sayang. It had been years since i've been to an apartment party/stay. Actually it had been ages i attended any family members birthday.

The 2 bed -apartment practically exploded with people coming in non stop with his friends. Full blown social butterfly he is. His friends are so diversify..haha...

yeah, another lame title but its the hardest part when it comes to blogging. Haiz

Anyway, the smart me accidentally deleted some part of my template before even saving a copy of it somewhere so instead of finding out what i deleted, i just replace the whole thing. HAHA

I know it looks abit dull with the while background and whitish gray font color, but i'll try to reedit it while i am still unemployed wtf.

Anyhoo....I want to ranted about TARC again although i am no longer a student with them.

I wrote about them last year around this time as well. I don't know why their staff have to be so rigid with the students. We don't owe those staff anything in the first place, why don't they just be more co-operative?

You see, I haven't had the time or convenience to go KL Tar office personally to collect my certificate during weekdays and since the office doesn't stay open for the entire day on weekends so it's very difficult for me to obtain it.

The next logically step to take is to ask any friends of mine that still lives around setapak to collect it.

First attempt: DENIED ! Must have photocopy of my IC and permission letter.

Second attempt: DENIED! My permission letter to my fren is not long and formal enough. It's just a permission letter, how long can it be? Please think, can?

Third attempt: DENIED! Since I'm in Penang, i used Words to draft the letter and emailed it to TL and according to the staff, formal letter must be handwritten. WTH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *Roooarrrrrrrrrr*

I really don't understand whats the difference between a handwritten letter and a printout. It can still be done by my friend and not me isn't it ?

Ok, so tomorrow kesian my fren, will go again to help me get my cert for me. Poor guy.

Tarc, this canot continue. Does this means that those who lives in Sarawak or Sabah had to take a flight to KL just to collect their cert?

Once again, try to be more flexible next time. haiz.

I went for a facial and i thought, the beautician must have thought to herself, "celaka this girl, the luas permukaan of her face so big, waste my cotton pad and lotions."

Ok, the above was super lame. However due to recent events, i just realize that i am actually not as materialistic as i thought i am. Diamonds might just not be my best friend.

I shall be making my 3rd trip to KL next week in a single month wtf. Getting tired of all the day trips although it's great seeing different set of friends every other day. HAHAHA

Venice Venice Venice!!

I was in Venice back in January with Wendy and i'm only blogging about it in March. Wau, procrastinator maximus.

We nearly miss our flight because Wendy's train got delayed and we were rushing through the gates of Liverpool airport to barely make it but manatau the stupid plane got delayed for 20mins. By the time, we got to Venice mainland, it was already dark, ya, thanks to winter, the days are so much shorter. Breath-taking view from the plane.

Snow Mountain ahhhh...!! Looks something like my imaginary heaven.

Our hostel is located at St. Stae vapretto station, and when we got there, we don't know how to get to the hostel because the instruction was to call the caretaker. So after asking around for abit, coincidently we ask the correct person because he IS the caretaker! haha so lucky and so we made friends with 1 hongkie and 2 taiwanese girls.

It's kinda cool that although the uncle speaks only Italian and we know 0% italian, we could still understand each other. Our room...which is the best hostels ever! It's like hotel..

And the bathroom....hairdryer provided.

Wendy, remember the uncle kept asking us to go dine at Luca's place? Luca luca...and we found out Luca's pizza parlour damn expensive.

Best pizza i've ever had. And considering the prices in Venice, this is a very cheap place to dine. Ae Oche and they have alot of branches throughout Venice. 1 pizza will cost u about 7 Euro and that 1 pizza is HUGE.

Luckily the hongkie gal, Joanne came along with us and we had 2 pizza that is shared among 3 of us. For comparison purposes, obviously the pizza is bigger than my face...haha..and cheese and ham and mushroom..all my favorite ingredients! That pizza that i'm holding is the usual serving for 1. Best of all, the waiter is cute and speaks with a slight italian accent :) :)

The next day, we wanted to rise and shine very early, but i guess traveling is tiring and age is catching up, so we slept like piggies till kinda late..HAHAHA .

The Basilica di San Marco . The gold part is really made of gold. If it's in Malaysia, the next day already habis dikorek by scavenger.

Inside the basilica, the interior was really amazing and alot of gold ceilings. Then there's a signboard showing " To the Treasures" Me and Wendy was like WOW! To the treasures..so we followed the arrow............to a guard which we had to pay 2Euro each to see the treasures -____-

Doge Palace and the basillica. The palace was dubbed as the Pink Palace. Where is the pink, my dear?

Venice's famous gondolas. 40Euros each. Any takers?

Dorsudoro area. My jumping protege AHAHAHA Somehow after crosing the Accademia Bridge ( a similar one was seen in cambridge!) we accidentally ventured into this area and its totally deserted except for the occasional tourist.

Italian Fashionistas. Fur coats with perfectly groomed hair deck complete with LV bags. Banyak sekali, people like this. It's a surprise PETA people doesn't come after them.

Then we went all the way round the whole island to Zattere >> Gelateria Nico; apparently the most renowned gelateria in Venice.... All for the giandiuotto, consisted of large slabs of chocolate & hazelnut gelato (hazelnuts roasted and chopped very finely) squished into tall glasses with the rest of the available space filled with soft-as-a-cloud freshly whipped cream. I'm still amazed at just how much cream they managed to cram into the glasses and balance on top!

Oh..after that...started our hunt for LV, Gucci shops. Damn hard to find in the winding and confusing dark alleys of Venice. Our tea. Italians like to have lil snacks with caffe expresso randomly. YUMMYLICOUS!

Then got nearly lost when we tried to go back to St. Stae. Seriously, the place looks so different during day and night >.> The grand canal at night.

Then after dinner of pasta in one of the restaurant (forgot to take photos) we went back to Ae oche for 2nd round of dinner. It's simply too delicious, de pizzas!! I miss it soo sooo much T___T
FYI, most restaurant have cover charge. So that's something like their service charge and it's not really cheap. This is the first time i see pizza in the shape of karipap. And it's so tasty most probably because it's cover up...hmmm

And we went back to the hostel, 2 very stuffed tourists. AHAHAH

The only souvenir we got from the Venetians. He's only the conductor of the waterbus. Imagine the abundant of look-alike in Italy.

The guy that sold me the last gelati i had in italy is by far, the most good looking person i've seen in my life. I'm too lost for words in his gorgeousness that i forgot to take a photo of him. Such a waste~ I miss u alot, gelato boy...

Tip # 1: for those traveling to Venice, actually you don't need to buy the vapretto ticket. Maybe just buy 2. We bought the one that valids for 48hrs and then we found out that most of the places are within walking distances. And if you board the vapretto from smaller stations, you don't actually have to PAY! So the smart and cunning way to save money is buy the one way 6Euro ticket when you enter Venice island and then another 6 Euro when you leave the island with your luggage. However, be careful not to be caught without the ticket(biglietto), or else you might be fine heavily. HAhaha.

Tip # 2: The wine there are really cheap and you can get 1 liter of them for 1.5Euro. So if you really love drinking wine, you can bring you own bottle over to a tratoria or a shop with alot of barrels and get them to fill it up for you. It's really cheap. 1euro for a bottle of water. 1euro for a can of beer too. and they sell wines in kebab stores. =__=

Verdict: Venice is so cold during winter i think because of the narrow alleys that turns into wind tunnel. SEJUK SIAL! and it;s not as smelly as summer. The water in the canals are kinda dirty and they gondolier did not sing also.

After all being said, it is still a very romantic place and i love the feeling of getting lost in the ancient alleys and stumbling into lovely areas away from the hoards of tourists. It's a very slow pace city and it's littered with cafes, and small shops, a lot with masquerade masks.

I would love to go back there one day, before it sinks, and explore more of it; as even if you spend a year there, it's impossible to finish exploring the beauty of Venice.

Today my last grandparent left us. She drew her last breathe at approximately 10Am and i've been really busy since to help prepare her journey to her next life.

Although she is now gone, but i am really glad that she has lead a really good life and gone in a very peaceful way. and because i have so many relatives, the funeral places is like a party for us.

Eat, drink, telling lame jokes and playing mahjong. I think this would also what she wants. Her next of kins to be happy.

Goodbye Ahma. Although i am not close to you and you already repeat whatever you say like a broken tape recorder, i will still miss you. Now you can go back to EngHock :)

Last night, more than 60 000 people turn up at Han Chiang field. Too bad i was stuck in Taiping, or else i would had been there with the rest of my relatives. Tak sangka sekali, my dad so semangat, he walked all the way there from my house. HAHAHA..

While on the highway towards Taiping, i see alot of billboards with BN advertisment, with messages like "ONLY ONE CHOICE" but i think they made an error there. We have more than 1 party in Malaysia therefore we still can choose.

In a way, i am very happy that penang people are very kaypo, because if there are not, 60K people wont suddenly turn up at the Hanchiang stadium. I've watched video on youtube and i think it's more happening than Jay Chou concert.

Tomorrow is THE Day that we have all been waiting for. Let's end all this battle of seminar, ceramah and poster with a change. Let us have result rather than something that has been repeated for the past 50 years.

I'll be glued to the TV whole night tomorrow instead of clubbing out there. haha.. For 1 night, Just make a change for a better nation.

Opposition Ceramah at Han Chiang Stadium

I was there last saturday together with the other ten thousand people who turned up as well. Because i care bout my future in Malaysia. I do not want to live in a country that with fear of suddenly being stabbed by a keris.

From standing under the rain for an hour until the rain stopped, the crowd was there too. All listening eagerly to what the speaker has to say. No surprise there as the speakers themselves were a crowd puller, Anwar Ibrahim, Karpal Singh, Lim Guan Eng and not forgetting our blogger turns politician, Jeffooi.

I am really sad to know when people my age who can vote, just doesn't even bother to register, yet they kept complaining about malaysia. When THE day for them to do something about all this, they just coward out and said " You can vote can ady lah, my vote, just 1 vote wont change anything" or " Vote also no use, the BN sure win"

Yes, although they will win, but at least we have opposition in there to check and balance with what they do to the country, how they use the tax payer money which translates back to your parents money or my parents money.

Disappointed that they find politics boring, daunting and complicated and it's all the same to them, that they just dont wanna know anything about it, rather knowing bout edison scandal. Giving up the only right that we can hold on to for the moment.

One even pisses me off by saying that, I can't even settle my own life why wanna care about the goverment? I care about myself that's why i bother to register myself and vote because i want to live in a place where racism is lower, equality is higher. I don't want to be called a second class citizen anymore in my own country.

Deny the 2/3 majority seat in parliament at least,we cannot fight them ourselves, but we can send someone inside who is willing to do so... check and balance... with a 2/3 majority.. it is like dictatorship.... They can call us cina bodoh, balik china lah... yet, what can we do because we do not have enough voice, in a place that help forms our country.... they can take a keris and vow to soak it with darah cina babi ..Is this the type of people u wanna send into the parliament??

The above is something i just told a friend of mine who is studying in UM. Not everyone is as fortunate as her in getting a placement in local university. Not everyone is fortunate enough to get to use facilities provided by the past government (dissolved ady now). For someone at her education level, I expected something more logical and reasonable coming out of her.. but i see none of it.

Just a simply retort i can say: If you don't vote, please don't come complain to me about malaysia anymore.

Don't vote by default towards the scale this time. Vote for a change. This is coming from a very bimbo girl okie...surprisingly..

8th of March is the day i will stay home for most of the time, glued on to the idiot box.. HAHAHAA

So many things to decide, to consider.

I envy those who are still a student. Being a student is the best time in your life T__T

I think i sux at being a blogger. I find that i have lost the way to express myself in words. Anyway, what you see might not be what you will get. Or what you expect things to be, no matter how well planned or thoroughly researched, it will not go the way you hope it will be.

Even friends are not like how it used to be. Everyone seems to have their own priorities in life which i fully understand but what you did to me today will reflect on how i will treat you in the future. Perception had changed.

Thanks to the isolation days back in the uk, i have now become a loner. I don't like to be with alot of people at any given time. It's not that many people are worth spending my time with anyway... Small group of 2-3 is fine. Loves the talks over a cuppa. Too crowdy somehow causes me headache and annoys the hell out of me.

Finally after weeks of headlines about this scandal, Edison put an end to it yesterday afternoon. Hopefully it's the end also.

The asian community has been making this thing so big a deal when it is not. Big of deal in a bad way. Somemore got news of triads trying to hack Edison's hands off and such.

Did this kind of thing happen to Paris Hilton when her sex tape was release to the public?? No, she somemore made a profit out of it. What has been done is done? What good issit to cry over it? When you are not even the people involve in it, just look at the fansee in Hongkong. Abit no life right.

Or just look at Kate Moss when footage of her snorting cocaine was release on the internet. She was propelled into another level of stardom with all sponsors and adverts knocking at her doorstep.

I did. Just few minutes ago in fact. I was sitting down and i felt my surrounding shaking, so i ask my mom if she felt anything. But she tell me not to be stupid and i might kena heat stroke or something like tat. Already siau ady.

But then when i return to my laptop, i get a few friends messaging me bout the earthquake. At that moment, i knew i was not crazy or having a fever! hahahaha

Even CNN.COM reported ady.

Makan Makan Trip

For breakfast, duck rice with Mr.Kenny and Mr.Gin. They claim it's one of the bessst in Penang. So i went to compare whether it can be as best as the London four season duck rice.

Verdict: Canot la. Although the duck skin is really crispy and thin. The problem is because it's thin. In london, the skin was juicy, thick and crispy. I miss it so much. Eric, if u reading my blog, can you help me tar pau when you come back penang next time? I pay the currency differences la.. hahah

After breakfast went home to wait for Ah Jin to come pick me up. Different Jin from morning ady. This Ah Jin also very free, just like me. No friend, lonely, unemployed. So we had our lunch from 3pm to 5pm.

We ordered almost everything in New World Park, to compensate our hawker food deprivation for 7 months. AND THEN, after sapu or kuih, ice kacang, curry mee, bak chang.. we proceed to Padang Lok Lok for....lok lok -__ -

Then, of course i must go to gym. Actually i think i should stop mentioning to people that i am going to the gym now. People has been expecting alot from me. Like suddenly be like Lin ChiLing or Jessica Alba. Hello people, i am not a miracle worker ok!! I canot suddenly kecut wan. The most i can aim for is like Beyonce body frame only. I can forget about being stick thin wan.

And please also remember i joined for only 2 weeks. Because i've only been back to tanah air for 2 weeks also !!!!!!! not 2 months nor 2 years alright?

Ooo.. I think yoga is really not my thn'g. I joined yoga class today and i dont really like it. Expected canot be very flexible ady la but it's too slow for me. I joined Jazz Yoga the other day and i love it so much. Shall make sure i go for this week class as well :)

Okie..back to my makan makan day. Then after gym..i quickly rush home because Ah Jin will be picking me up for second round d..

Damn happy dinner okie...

Because i get to meet back my UK friends. Nop, not guai lohs. But Malaysians that i met in UK and traveled together to Scotland and Liverpool also. These are also the people that i thought i will never met again in my life.

We makan dinner at Kayu. The Original Kayu. Fucking expensive wei. The naan cost me RM8.90. Where got so expensive wan. But it's good because i met with WingYew, Ah Bo and Ik Bing. HAhaha the photo of expensive naan .!!!!!!!!!.

Let's hope that with the new year, i will widen my circle of friends and meet more interesting people. See more interesting places and listen to wonderful experiences from weird people. hahaha

My Funny Valentine(s)

This year valentine day was again spend with a group of friends. :) For more details on the kinda disastrous yet funny date refer to Mabel's post.

And then the news that my last surviving grandma was admitted into the hospital for breathless-ness. So all family members met at the icu on valentines day night. After a while, we do what Lee family do best.. Makan makan. quite funny right...

Bak kut teh... the atmosphere was more lau juak than reunion dinner actually. haha

and then we went to my uncle's place to pray to the God of Sky/ Ti Gong which also marks Hokkien's Chinese new year. It has been years since we had a proper prayer to ti gong and it has been a really fun and family bonding day to me. It had been almost 10 years i did not see a lion dance performance being performance at such close proximity or at my own/relatives premises.

That is what valentine day suppose to be. Be with who you held dearest. Not being con by restaurant with poor service and cut throat prices. Not on the day where florist flourish. You see the small figure uncle near the bonfire/offerings??

He damn macho and brave ok. When the kids playing fireworks, we shouted at him to be careful of the fire and sparks, but he damn selamba walk pass like nothing only. Then when the joss sticks turn into fire and he couldn't put it out, he just squat down by the road and hit it out with his bare palm. -___- Damn keng!!

And that is how my valentine day went this year. No rose, no chocolate, no present. But then again, i met some new people which is very good.

Kenny's Birthday

11th of February is Mr Kenny's birthday!! So we went out for dinner at his expenses (thanks!) at this new place called Kenribean or something like tat around Sunrise Tower.

The food was cheap, juicy and tasty too!! hahaha.. They serve Western food like fish n chips and London Fish n chips (wat's the difference?? ) and Steaks.

The awesome cupcakes!! Super duper cute i tell you, too cute to eat. I got them from joosing. Go get your's at cupcakes4you! They are not very expensive it's a great alternative to the old boring cake.

Did you expect to see some of the nude photographs here? Sorry but this is a rated- U blog therefore i will not post the photos here. Although i have seen them all. Almost 400pieces of them, thanks to my very quick source, Mr. Ngiam.

My point of view is that the media in hongkong is making a very big fuss over this. It must also have something to do with the attitude my family has all these years. I've been working for on 2nd & 3rd day for a few times already and i don't mind if i have work this year, in fact, i would be quite happy. hahaha can get more money that day compared to ang pows..

So i joined a gym already and attended an Abs Express class the other day together with my siblings and cousin. Halfway through the class i already feel like crying because it's just so tough! and it's like entering torture camp and the worst bit is that all the uncle and auntie that join with me can do much better than me!! But at least got people kept urging me to keep going. I hope all the effort will pay off -___-

Finally yesterday i get to go mamak and taste beer already. Back to normal abit. kekeke.. So happy. Yes yes, must make a statement that johor uni student from penang also very gentlemen...

So i am already back in Penang for the Chinese new year. It's only been 3 days i am here and i already feel not really happy by far. What i get so far is just critism from everyone.

Why so fat wan you?
What happen to you? - from a stupid stupid bitch that i hate and i don't know why i meet on the first day i was here when i don't meet when i was still slim last time.wtf.
Why your hair so long and frizzy wan? -humid weather la wtf
Why you grow horizontally wan?
Why your feet so swollen wan? - i also dono why and getting worried as well.
What happen to you diet? - i also wanna know

Why why why? Stop asking me la. i also dont want to grow fat wan wat. Already tried to diet so hard but still so fat i also no idea la. Fat ma fat la... no one cares when i was in uk but it seems to be everyone's problem here but mine alone. So just leave me alone with my new found fat la..

Other than the above, i got a huge bruise on my knee for going humpty dumpty in Dubai airport when running to the boarding gate. The airport terminal damn damn long. I also got another bruise on the thigh for knocking myself with my luggages -__-

The day i left Dubai, it was hit with a sandstorm. My flight was delayed for 40mins and i missed my connecting flight to penang. Damn pissed because we were running around klia. In fact, i've been running for the whole damn day.

Finally touched down in wonderful penang. First thing is hokkien mee!!

Overall, my journey home was quite depressing la. But it has been really great meeting up family, friends and my dog. Although most of them will say why u so fat wan T___T

So hot here and internet is slower. I don't know when i can get my photos up. hope it will be soon la

I think by the time i blogged about this, it's already in the past tense as most people are already aware of this tragic incident that happened lately.

In some part of our life, we will surely need to take the bus to travel from state to state be it, penang-kl(most frequent i think), kl-johor, ..etc.. u get the idea. So we would want to have a sense of security when we take the bus services offered to us the consumer. Unfortunately, we usually won't have a peace of mind when we buy, wait or when boarding the bus here in Malaysia.

It is really a drastic different from what i experienced here and UK. I used to be a very frequent traveler on the buses as i studied in KL and my hometown is in Penang. As a student, taking the bus is the mostly the only option i can choose if i want to go home often.

The incident that happen to Nian Ning is not the first one that we have heard of and it definitely wont be the last one. But we can all make a difference to prevent or even just lower the risk of taking the buses if we all come together to be a louder voice towards the authorities.

How can we allow ourself to risk our life or even the lives of our loves one everytime we take a bus? The causes of such accidents are obvious to us. Reckless drivers. Rude drivers. Not all the time, but most of the time we get drivers that ignore our request to these drivers to slow down, or even simply things like stopping at the next stop when nature call.

Blog post such as Jason's, Desmond and ChoonSeong couldn't have make it clear enough for us.

First of all, i wanna express my shock and sadness towards the death of Heath Ledger. Only 28 years old and gone. I was just talking bout him with my friend, Wendy when we were in Venice. That's because he's the last Casanova and casanova originates from venice. Abit creepy but yet saddening to me as i had high hope on him for the future. The Dark Knight will be his movie then. Rest in peace.

Secondly, the censorship board is getting more and more ridiculous. HARLO! Over here Lust, Caution is showing in all glory on the cinemas (i hope i get to watch it b4 going home). What's with a little bit of shirtless scene. Then they should do something with all the kampung kids running around naked. It's painful to see.

Ok.. back to normal post. I am in Edinburgh and the ~~breeze~~ ~~wind~~ super duper wind is crazy wann! Our walking speed will be increase by ten folds as the wind is practically blowing u and according to my dear friend, the only reason i wasn't blown away is because my big fat face is acting as an anchor.. -___-

So because i am being a guest here and jpa just bless their bank account, they have reason to declare holiday!! First day here, just sleep sleep only to replenish my energy from all the travelling. While i was sitting at one corner with my book and luggage in manchester, with a sombre expression, i stared at a lot of ang moh holding spice girls memoriblia and still hype up and singing Every Boy & Every Girl, SPICE UP YOUR LIFE! T______T

my ribs.. not really my ribs la..it's the ribs i ordered la.. hahah...canot habiskan as well cos too full. it looks like it charred and geli but actually quite yummy la...

Oh...and also i need to give credit to buaya for being a good host.. cos i complain wanna eat at 11pm, he brave the wind and rain and coldness and cycled out to buy a bucket of fried chicken and fries for the household supper while waiting to hear Sharapova moan her way to be the champion for austrialian open...

credit must be given to pei pei also because the bicycle belongs to her :)

As of now, i'll be leaving my little village be heading back to civilisation. The only thing i'll miss about Blyton is my only friend, elliot(he's so sweet he gave me goingaway gift..aww), the freedom and the molah i made.

I just realized my shopping power has increased by ten fold compared to the time when i was in Penang therefore i almost burst into tears when packing today. I had to again lug my huge heavy luggage around england train station.

A little clue on my next destination...but if you are quick enough, you would have guessed where it is :)

A little bit of mafia, a little bit of culture, awesome food, fabulous eye candy with accent and a great travel mate is what it takes!

Due to my near non existence determination, my project diet 101 is officially a failure :( :( :( Will try harder next time!

Birmingham

In december, i made my maiden trip to Birmingham. Apart from knowing it being one of the largest cities in UK, i also was informed that it's full of banglas. Other than that, Birmingham is also home to one of the more eccentric friend that i have, mr william.

So on that fine morning, i was about to step out of the house when there's a msg on my msn, so i replied it. And that very msg made me miss the bus and i had to wait for 1 hour for the next one in the cold T___T

And then i had to switch train at Nottingham and because their PA system was down and i couldn't find the next platform for my connecting train, i miss it again!! and had to wait another hour for the next one. The supposedly 4 hours journey took me a staggering 6 stupid hours. So frustrating.

Once i got there, Will took me to this dimsum place where i met someone who reads my blog. OMG! Hie, to you if u still read me *blush* I consider it one of my highlights in my blogging life because someone actually come up to me and say hie~and out of so many place, birmingham :)

Before dropping my stuff at the smallest hostel i've ever seen, we went line up for one of the best dougnut in town! But to will, he say it's nothing, just another bread with a hole, hmmph!

And when we were lining up(gosh, the line was unbelievable long!) the HOT NOW sign was slowly spinning around so we got ourself free original glaze each. MY favorite flavour.

In the evening, we went to this german market at the city centre. Note that i'm there before christmas so it's all winter holiday mood still.

Plenty of stalls selling knick knacks, porcelain stuff and candies.

There's like sea of people at the German market, most standing around a small table drinking beer or eating some hot food. The ambiance was excellent. You get the happy music coming from a merry-go-round nearby and the sound of laughter from the crowd on top of the sweet smelling of roast pork and wursts. Jason took the exact same photo like mine, the reindeer thingie but he took his at manchester!!

We got ourself a nice little bacon in the bun after staring at the roasting pork for quite some time. The sweet smell of onions and bacon are to tempting to resist.

Will finished most of it. I only pose for the sake of blogging which makes me look like a hungry pig..or am i not? hahah

We also had some wurst...which made me damn full!!! Then we went for a walk around birmingham. Which basically finished my tour. That's all done under 1 day.

Headed back as we going to attend a pre-christmas christmas party where alot of malaysian and chinese attended.

AGAIN, all the food which totally ruin my first round of diet. Great night which lasted well to the wee hours in the morning and i had to excuse myself to bed as i was really knackered after all the traveling.

The next day, was supposed to meet up at 11am i think, so i got up and got myself ready. I was really glad to see the weather was lovely outside and can't wait to go out. So i wait and wait...until 3pm T____T Why william, WHY.... With so little sunshine in winter, i should have gone out myself. And with so much time in hand, i used it to paint my face -__- There's really nothing much to do. Poor guy internet connection was terrible. I think this is the first time in a long long time i put photos of myself. Sorry la, if it's an eyesore to you; ie ang or divalisa, but i really like my long hair that day. hahaha sometimes i quite shallow and vain....but i got nothing to do so use my camera to entertain myself....forgive me...

Okok...so we went to Wagamama for lunch before FINALLY did a little of window shopping. I did not really buy anything because when i pick up something from the aisle, Will will snap photos of me and mutters " Haha, i'll show your mom!!" T____T so potong steam.

and i only had 1 request, to go mng shop. And william kept misleading me..and when we finally got there, the door shuts at my face with the sign " CLOSE EARLY FOR SALE PREPARATION" wtf..WHY william WHY...There's only like 3 mng in UK and i had to leave early tomoro and now i can't even browse .. T__T

and then we went home to cook dinner. William cooking his famous oyakodon. hahaha..THE William cooking, girls..it's something we don't see in penang.

Finito and it taste like the real thing too. Really yummy :) :) :)

We proceed to make Char Koay Kak wtf.... I told you this friend of mine is eccentric. And i actually had alot of fun because neither of us has a clear clue on how to make it. Taruh saja lah and then try to improvise from the "super secret recipe"

It was another long night for me. It has been so long since we met up and so we have many grandmother story to tell. Haha

The next morning, it just take too much time and work to make koaykak we just make it to radish cake/loh pak kou. Surprisingly...quite successful although abit tasteless and ugly looking. Hahahahaha.. Anyone that can guess the formation of the below, is simply genius ok?

Giving up, we had proper breakfast at Weatherspoon. The weather was very frosty and seriously cold.

And i bid farewell to my dear friend that has been such a wonderful host. It's really weird. For when i was in penang most of the time, he's in US. When i was in KL most of the time, he's in penang. And when I'm in UK, he's back to penang. So for this small fraction of time when both of us are in the same land, i had to make effort to meet him. Or else, it will be god knows when shall we meet again.

Anyhoo, it was great fun there i had in Birmingham. It seriously has the BEST SHOPPING place called bullring. For an emo person such like me, it has been a whirlwind 3 days for me. Let's hope that we meet up soon~~ Despite all the ranting above, u know i still miss seeing you, Will. So please dont merajuk on me okk? haha

Other than food binging, i've been watching alot of movies recently. From torrent la of course, i haven't step into the cinema for 6 months already T__T ...

Fight club. Top on the chart of IMDB and it was one that i meant to watch for a long time. Brad Pitt, Edward Norton and Seminaked men with 6 packs fighting, which girl wouldn't say no? Anyway, i got more than what i wanted and it was one twisted, violent and scary (to me) movie. It was really good in a way though because i would have never guessed the ending and the way it was narrated. Deserve to be on the top!

Because I Said So. Diane Keaton and Mandy Moore. another romantic comedy for me. I love this genre of movie because it's a no brainer and it's really fun to watch.

Bring It On. Watching this for the 143th times was great. It brings back great memories for me from secondary school and make me miss dancing so much. Dancing in a group and dance practices.

Going to watch Amazing Grace next and any more good movies recommendation??

Today went to Lincoln for the last time and the moment i order my breakfast i know for sure my calories quota for the day already kantoi. So i order a Quiche, a mixture of pie, ham and cottage cheese. Really like it but while eating it, a huge cloud of guilt is hovering above my head.

Then i went shopping with Jessica. PoppyJunk you owe me 30pd!! and RM2 for the sms i send u..i dont care..hahaha

Today every shop also got the word SALE or ALL under 5pd all over them. Who in the right mind wont go grab some goodies? kekeke...

The harvest of walking around for 5 hours under drizzles. Carry until the blood flow nearly got cut off from my arms already. But half of it is not for me.. T___T

Feel depressed again, so i go eat McD for tea. My village don't have mcD or kfc wan, so i binge again.

On the way home, i walked pass the village pub..and automatically walk in, sit down and order food again. Arghhhh....!! DIE LAH! I had cajun chicken with mushroom and onion with cheese!!
Lovely food but after eating i really feel guilty... all my effort will go wasted after seeing some results.

But who knows that my alliances also kantoi today, so we agreed today is not counted in our diet regime. Kekeke..damn keji. Today is our cheat day.

I still feel guilty. Tomoro i plan to run an extra mile to burn all the food i consume today but an obese buaya told me england will flood -__- already few places flooding as of now...wtf...

Today i ran to another village

I did!! I ran for like 2 miles today along the country road despite the cold winds and before i know it, i saw the tiny sign that normally you see before entering another city, town, or in my case, village.

I even took a photo as evidence!! Look ! Pilham..where that is..

And another one...if i kept running following the signboard, i could save some pounds from taking the bus. hahah...

and here's a lovely dog i met. The dog name Love..such lovely cocker spaniels. I can just melt away around dogs and puppies.

As promised, i will like to give a huge SHOUT OUT to MilkyWay, that surprisingly reads my blog while his own blog is dead as a stone could be alive. His quote, if don't use brain everyday, will become potato.. -__- Why i have such lame friends.

Let's all sing the auld lang syne

Hahaha.. 12 days too late.

Anyway, i think it's a custom over in western world to sing auld lang syne at the stroke of midnight on 1st january as a way to usher in the new year.

As for me this year, i will like to remember it as being offered a glass of bubble by kind villagers and sleeping it away.

THE act of ushering in new year fall on new years day itself for us. We decided to have steamboat! Woo..so excited bout it. I was almost disappointed at the last minute when i couldn't get myself there since i stay so kampung T___T but thanks to the great people..hehe i still manage to attend! woohoo!

Age, is really catching up on me. The steamboat lasted 9 hours and we begun at 11pm. It was slow because we had more than 10 people and only 1 small rice cooker. And everyone is like attacking the cooker once something is cooked.The following day everyday was so groggy with panda eyes walking around like zombies.

Oh well, as i say, when boring people gather together, they will totally unleash the energy, fun and tigerism that has been bottled up in them! I shall not post anymore photos of same sex kissing in case i offend certain people again.

Just some photos of the night with hongkies, taiwanese, shanghainese and bbc. All also Chinese!! I think that i am very lost in front of cameras now. It had been awhile since i took photos with with another person and it seems that i forgot how to smile. All my photos looks so weird! anyway, it still a very happy night/day. Great way to usher in the new year.

Due to demand from the most unsuspecting person; ang, i shall put a hold on my new year days blog and update something fast first. Also not to disappoint his belief in me, i will blog something about my current obsession. Losing weight.

The aftermath of festive seasons

I've been hungry for the past 5 days now.

I stole this photo from matthew's facebook. the left side read: Before christmas and Right reads: After Christmas.

I'm in that state exactly T__T so sad...previous hard work of dieting all down the drain. Somemore someone kept calling me fat and ugly on msn as a daily reminder to drop the weight!! And i believe i am not the only victim. Pei also kena victimize by him but she lagi kesian because she had to face him everyday.

So we decided to form alliances. Helen, Pei and Me...something like weight watcher group. Must motivate and encourage each other to lose weight. Somehow it sounds like those support group. aAahaH. Fat anonymous. And instead of saying "Hi, I'm an addict" we can say "Hi, I'm fat"

So depressing.

On the 4th day of dieting, i started to hallucinate pizza, burgers and fries floating around me. Me working in the food line is not helping at all. Fries bertimbunan everyday seems like calling at me to eat them T___T

Yesterday i went to Lincoln again to meet some ppl for my "farewell" lunch. The first time i met them was my "welcome" lunch. Yesterday was only the second time i saw them. Ahaha..

Anyway, i ventured around the town and came across this quaint shop. CANDY SHOP.

Really old fashion type where you only see them in movies.

I am so tempted to buy some and try but that will just ruin my hardwork so far. So i left empty handed.

For lunch, i can have all the dimsums throwned at me! Ha Kau, Lo MaiKai and chee cheung fun. But i just had a bowl of porridge and 1 egg tart.

Ok..to compensate myself, i bought 2 pairs of shoes and some other stuff hahaha. Went home, eat my special K and slept at 830pm. Shopping is not only a good outlet to release stress and depression, it is also a good way to keep healthy. My phone has got this function that counts every step you take.

On average, i take about 4000steps a day plus 20mins jog. When i was out shopping, i will normally take more than 8000steps without even breaking a sweat.

My verdict: Shopping is gewd!! :) :)

It had been so long since i slept for more than 10 hours. This morning, woke up with a smile

Satisfaction.

10 more days before i met anyone. 10 days of healthy lifestyle!!!

I filled my mp3 with songs that have sexy videos. So when i listen to Sexy Back, i imagine Alessandra Ambrossi, and i run faster in the cold...

Putting myself through hell now so i can binge when i'm back on the travel map.

Boxing Day

Boxing Day is not the day you spend boxing each other or have any boxing matchs on. It is the day after Christmas Day. It also means it's a public holiday here and there's a special EPL match and some hunting activities on as well.

However, in the lands of guailow's it also bears another very significant meaning. It's the day for mother of all sales. People go crazy on this day when items prices are slashed up to 70%. People will fight over each other for that last designer handbag. and shivering in the cold winter from 5am just to be the first to get their hands on the cheap cheap stuff.. I saw on the news that some girls lose their shoes when running towards the bag they were eyeing. So they just buy another pair of shoes!

Kiasu-ism doesn't only exist in Singapore! It's proven ady. It's everywhere!!!!

So what will you expect from a seasonal shopoholic like me?

I spent my day sleeping well into late afternoon. Hahahahaha... such a waste of a bargain day. Waking up later than expected, me and charlotte only had a salmon sandwich before getting ready for the party at night. Taiwan and HongKong girls are really good at beautifying themselves. Seriously. Spending more than 1 hour infront of mirrors.There are no ugly girls. Only lazy ones. yup yup...

When we get to WaiKit's place, we are already 2 hours late. hehe. The party start late too because we have to wait for the food. Everyone was suppose to make something. We have "wun chai chi"/fake sharkfin, some Fujien springroll, pastas, CurryPorkchop, sushi, pizza and charsiewpau. Talk about international spread.

The crowd that night! Hongkies dominate it, with a sprinkle of chinese, a dose of taiwanese, one bbc and 1 malaysian.

I initially plan to post alot of funny photos from the party but i feel bad posting it. It will be laughing on other's expenses. Adding to their drunkard embarrassment. hehe

After eating, the place turned into a temporary casino like. With all the dices shaking in the cups and people "chai mui". It's something really new to me. At this moment, i am proud to be a malaysian because i am the only in the room that can communicate with everyone else. Be it, english, mandarin, cantonese or even hokkien! Taiwan girls tried to cheat speakking hokkien and was so surpirse when i shout " Eh, wa eh hiau tieahhh!!" (Eh, i understand)

It was such a nice way to celebrate anything. In a house with a bunch of fun people.

It's certainly a change from how it has been for me in the past year. No spray war which i absolutely hate with all my heart. What's the point of dressing up and get stupid tukaus spraying fake, smelly, sticky snow at you? No pervert stranger thrusting their hips towards me in a lewd manner. No traffic jam. No reservation needed for dinner.

Snow!!!

It finally snowed yesterday!! I've been waiting for it to snow since end of december.

Anyway, the snow in my place was miserable light and no thanks to me waking up late when most of it has melted away as shown above T___T

I damn sua-ku(sampat) ok. When i woke up around 12ish, i saw some white stuff floating outside my window and then i notice my neighbors roof are all white!! Then i quickly pull on my coat and half running, half skipping out, singing Lalalalala ...hoho...

My first snow!!!! Its like....people kept throwing ice shavings at you. Because of the strong wind, it's like throwing ice shavings at your face. and i think the angmoh don't really like it because they were using umbrellas and wearing hoodie looking gloomy...

Why the long face people? It's snowing... Weeee!! Even it's a sissy 2cm snow compared to Edinburgh mighty 20cm thick ones. Hahaha

Christmas!

Things turned out pretty nicely for me this Christmas. As i've expect to sleep through it, i now had the best Christmas times in my life. Beats everything else except dizzily going to genting. The 55pd christmas tree that i decorated :D

I am glad that my host family insisted on be going over to their house for dinner. Because of their persistence, i ended 2007 and begun 2008 on the high. However, i only get 1 present this year. From my only friend in the village, Elliott, who said "That's so sadd" when i told him i only got 1 present from him.

I had a really nice traditional christmas meal for lunch which is a homecooked meal. I haven't seen such amount of mashed potatoes ever. It's all being mashed up in a pot and transferred to the industrial size rice cooker to be kept warm. Clever yeah?

The meal spread across the table and beyond. The table is actually not big enough to place all the food =.=

My plate. Hehe...I tooked a portion everthing because i wanted to try everything. Orang tamak selalu rugi. I ended up struggling to finish everything T__T I had lamb, turkey, chicken, beef, sausage and bacon, brussels sprouts, yorkshire pudding, mashed potatoes and wine....VERY SATISFYING MEAL!! Thanks alot to the Wong family for having me.

After that, me and my new bff, Charlotte went back to her place to rest, digest and freshen up. Because we have big night ahead of us hehe. Too bad i didn't forsee the future. All that i've packed is boring tops because i thought i'll be spending time watching tv or mahjong with old people. Oo, how wrong could i be T__T

We drove around in a mercedes that day and at night, her friends drove an Estima to fetch us. I've never sit in so many luxury car in 1 day before. Hohohoh..

We went for another round of feast and free flow of wine at a chinese restaurant. That's where the fun begins. I was introduced as the girl who speaks only English and Hakka to a bunch of hongkies. They are all so tension they don't dare to speak to me. haha

Then we all just hang out at one of the guys house. Eating tong yuen. Watching tvb channel. haha..so chinese...After awhile we got bored, and managed to pin down the smallest size fella. We decided to make him very pretty...hahaha...and then after we are done with him, he caught another guy for us to play with.

We ended turning 3 total straight guys into pondan. AHAHA. The process of doing so was fun-nest! Hearing all the protesting was really funny. and they are really afraid of mascara and eyelash curlers.

I think it's not really nice to show all of the photos. BUT there's a few that is a must.

Hmm....so 364 days has flown past me again.

What did i do last year today? I think i was helping my sister do some last minute stuff for her wedding or something along the line. I know i did not go to any countdown or whatsoever because we(lee family) had to stay home for the hair combing ceremony thingie.

After it's all over, i sneak out to mamak with the guys. So i spend my new year morning at the mamak. Classic.

I can't even remember how's my new year the year before that. If i can't remember it, it probably isn't anything major.
(Infact, i did remember the new year's eve! I walked from KLCC to Sg.Wang with my housemates and back again after the countdown. It also the night where some of the guys got harrassed by gay angmoh. kekeke. And the year before that, if not mistaken, i was having a nice evening at sega with the gang before a certain bitch ruin the it.)

This year, it's gonna be awesome!

How awesome?

Very awesome, because i'll be busy till 11pm and probably come back online and msn till late like everyday and sleep in late the next day in this country with free aircon.

Stress free. Crowd free. No stinking hair. No sweaty people.

Woohoo!!

Because of the festive season, i've subconsciously stopped my exercises regime, star eating like a pig and sleeping like a koala bear. Not very good news. Therefore, i've decided to force myself to watch the best thinspiration out there!!

Come 2008

Was thinking what to blog first, my wonderful trip to birmingham, the yearly wrap up/resolution post or my "miserable" christmas.

and then, i think if i don't start wrapping things up, it will be 2008 already. In 4 more days. 3 for malaysian. hahaha.

This year must have been the most amazing and full with achievements to my, by far.

2007 started off with a BANG for me. My only sister got married on new years day.. Woohoo! And i am still a student, pulling her hair out when it's nearer to exam dates in KL. Then come the dreadful moment of ending my stint in KL and moving back to penang for good.

My blog counter went sky high when it was plug in kennysia.com for winning his little competition on Penang food list. It was one of the highlight for me from blogging for 4 years.

Then i got a job in AMD together with my ex roomate in the same department. Had a great time working with those guys as without them, my working life is so bleak. Staring at screensaver 9-5 for a week can drive anyone mad. With them, i improved my pingpong, badminton and bowling skills.

May is one of my happiest moment in my life when i know that I'll be graduating! Attending my first ever convocation was ecstatic. Hot, sweaty but...ecstatic :) Ooo..i am already so looking forward to my degree convocation next year already.

But before my graduation, it was one of the most crucial moment in my life. The turning point in my life. It was very difficult for me to be where i am right now. After much obstacles only do i get to come to the place of my dream.

Needless to say, i spend the 2nd half of 2007 in UK. I've been wanting to come here since i'm small after being a devoted fan of Enid Blyton. Coincidently, i am now living in a place called Blyton. Spooookkyyy.

I've never travelled so much in a year before in my young life. I know i am really fortunate to have made it so far and seen so much at my age, therefore i am really grateful to my family for supporting me. And also allowing me so much freedom before i get here, in a way, it helps alot when arriving in a foreign land.

Now i know i am capable of being independent. Really independent. My appetite for traveling is now bigger than before ever since traveling to spain and portugal and transporting on the train alone in england for the past 3 months.

It had been an awesome 2007 for me. Probably the best year in my life to date as i have experienced and grown so much within 1 short year.

Come 2008, i will be traveling intensively before it's even February.

My 2008 resolution is simple.

Live each day at a time and make the fullest out of it.

Archives Reading & Merry Christmas

I've been reading a few months of my own blog tonight and then i realize that i sounded really really loud and rude in the past. No wonder people who read my blog first and then met me says that i am quite different from how i project myself in my blog. Now i understand.

From what i read, a year ago, i sounded really childish and i don't like how i blog stuff. If i am a reader from nowhere, i would have click the X the second minute. My god, i sound really annoying back then, don't i. I hope i don't sound annoying now. hahah.. But by blogging, it also help me track how i've change throughout the times and remind me of things that might have slip from my mind. It also reminds me of the times i had with my friends and makes me relives the moment that i spend doing things i love.

This might be one of the most difference Christmas for most of us. We have spend every single christmas together as a group of friends since 2001. This year, the girls will be spending it with their other halves and "inlaws" and the boys..well, just went to singapore to have some fun. I wonder will the month of celebration will now be limited selected people from now on? It really shows that we are no longer bubble head teenagers who wants to go out and get covered with confetti(i never like tat anyway)

It's time for us to celebrate in peace and harmony, with a beautiful glass of wine, sitting at home and watching chrismas tv with your love ones. OMG....i am still too young at heart to do that. Muahah. Just that i don't have any other option this year except sleep and be good when in my host family house.

I miss the 2005 christmas in KL....really really miss it although i would never ever go to SG.Wang on any celebration night again. I miss singing carols while heading spontaneously to Genting with only a thin cardigan.

I might be having a sucky and freezing(hopefully white) Christmas this year but i wish everyone a Great Christmas, a Merry and Joyous one and many more in the future :)

I only wish to get a hug from someone i love from home..a warm lick from my dog, Jaz...her nuzzling with me at night.

Previously i planned to sleep away christmas. change of plan. add 1 huge bottle of whisky. Gonna pass out in bed drowning in my own sorrows. I miss everyone back home so much suddenly...

This is the first time where i feel really homesick. It took 6months to hit me. Must be because it's now so so near christmas and me just left birmingham.

I hate the feeling not knowing when will i see those i love again. It suxs! It suxs!!!

Hopefully a pint of haagen daaz can cheer me up. for the moment.

7 days to Christmas

" Are you prepared for Christmas already?"

That's the question i get asked really often here. Normally i will just answer Yes with a smile to stop them for asking anymore. But to be honest, what is there for me to prepare for? Is there really a Santa Claus coming down the chimney(yes, this hse has got chimney) with a bag full of present for me? I got no one to give presents to this year. No parties or dinner to attend. So there's nothing much for me to prepare for.

However after saying that, i am so prepared for this year Christmas. Putting on some thick sock, i will be sleeping through Xmas with some well stocked series of Friends in my hard disk.hahah

Last year this time, i recalled the things that happen to me in 2006. I guessed i've gone beyond my expectation this year. I would never had guessed i will be where i am in a million years.

I'll try to do a post on that someday when i am free or not lazy. I also missed seeing the christmas decorations in KL malls. They always outdo themselves every year. This year i have yet to see any blog posting up photos on them except for pavillion. hmm.. I still remember Midvalley had the sweetest christmas last year. I went like everyday of the week and took so many photos of them. Photos which i held dear to...hahhaha

The ang moh's really go all out when it comes to decorating their houses for this season. You will be inflated giant santa, or reindeer outside their gardens. The lighting hanging around the house is enough to bright up the whole streets too. I'll try to take some photos if i can.

Tomorrow i'll be heading out to conquer another city in UK. Birmingham, that is! No more kampung for the next 3 days. Hurrah...

First Backstreet's back, followed by Take That back for good and then Boyzone...

No surprise when Spice Girls back together for their mega world tour, the tv's has been blaring their old mtv and songs all over again. Which also means, i get to sing along to all the song i love so much in the times when i was still short and thin.

I used to own so much of their memorablia and of course all their albums. Not forgetting Spiceworld the movie! haha..i love watching it over and over again. My favourite song from them was The Lady is a Vamp and Say You'll be There. Their first and second album rocks!

I can still sing to Wannabe without missing a beat..huhuh...i think it's something to be proud off since i am so bad at remembering stuff.

Anyway, i was thinking of going to their concert since i am in uk. But when i check out their concert dates, most of the tickets are already sold out even though it's really expensive at 75pd for the cheapest one. Then i checked on eBay...

Guess how much they are selling there?

and as for the first ever show in London last night, the tickets are as valuable as gold dust. I bet it is even more expensive than gold dust. The newspaper reports today that the tickets were selling at 1000pd in the market.
